Orbit 2 - foldable towbar bike rack for eBikes and fat bikes
Orbit 2 is the foldable Menabo towbar bike rack designed for those who transport eBikes, fat bikes and traditional bicycles without compromising on stability and practicality. With a maximum load capacity of 70 kg and a high-strength steel frame and wheel tray, it easily handles the weight of modern electric bikes, which often exceed 20 kg each.
Quick attachment to towbar. The quick-lock lever mounting system allows installation in seconds. Adjustment is done using the included Allen key; the integrated anti-theft lock secures the rack to the towbar during stops.
Foot-operated tilting mechanism. The pedal tilt system allows the entire rack to tilt forward, enabling access to the car boot without removing the bikes — a major advantage in everyday use.
Foldable and compact design. When not in use, Orbit 2 folds completely. Its light weight of 14.4 kg makes it easy to handle alone and store in the boot or in tight spaces.
Universal compatibility. Supports wheels from 18" to 29" with a maximum width of 80 mm, compatible with fat bike tyres, and a maximum wheelbase of 1,310 mm. The adjustable frame holder arm fits both standard and irregular frames (diameter from 23 mm to 75 mm), including step-through frames and eBike frames with integrated batteries. An anti-theft knob for the frame holders is available as a separate accessory.
Certifications. Orbit 2 is TÜV GS certified and has passed the City Crash Test. In the independent TCS test (01/2026), it received the rating "highly recommended" with 4 stars, the highest award given by the Swiss towbar bike rack test.

Is Orbit 2 compatible with my eBike? What is the maximum load capacity?
Yes, Orbit 2 is specifically designed for transporting eBikes. The maximum load capacity is 70 kg, which is sufficient to carry two mid- to high-range eBikes, typically weighing between 22 and 30 kg each.
The steel wheel trays support wheels from 18" to 29" with widths up to 80 mm, making them compatible with fat bike tires.
The frame holder arm is adjustable for frame diameters between 23 and 75 mm, including frames with integrated batteries typical of modern eBikes.
What is the difference between Orbit 2 and Orbit 3? Which one should I choose?
The main difference is capacity: Orbit 2 carries 2 bikes, while Orbit 3 carries 3.
Both share the same structure, maximum load capacity of 70 kg, and the same mounting, tilting pedal system, and anti-theft features.
Orbit 2 weighs 14.4 kg compared to Orbit 3’s 18 kg, making it ideal for couples or those looking for a more manageable bike rack to mount and remove alone.
If you regularly transport three bikes, for example with family or in a group, Orbit 3 is the better choice.
How does the pedal tilt system of Orbit 2 work? Can I open the trunk with the bikes mounted?
Yes, this is exactly what the system is designed for. The pedal tilt mechanism allows you to tilt the entire bike rack forward, bikes included, without removing them.
This allows full access to the trunk.
The operation is performed by pressing the pedal with your foot, without needing to bend down.
This feature is particularly useful during travel stops when you need access to your luggage without unloading the bikes.
Is Orbit 2 certified? What approvals does it have?
Orbit 2 is TÜV GS certified, the European benchmark for bike rack safety, and has passed the City Crash Test, which verifies performance in urban impact scenarios.
In the independent TCS test (January 2026), it received a "highly recommended" rating with 4 out of 5 stars, the highest score in its category.
It also includes a CE conformity certificate issued by the manufacturer, as required by Italian regulations.
Is the anti-theft knob for bikes necessary? Is it included with Orbit 2?
Orbit 2 includes an integrated anti-theft system that locks the bike rack to the tow bar during stops.
The anti-theft knob for the frame holder arms, which protects the bikes themselves, is not included as standard but is available as a separate accessory.
It can be purchased in kits of 1 or 2 knobs.
For those who leave bikes unattended during stops, purchasing the anti-theft accessories is recommended.
